　Easter, which is the second important festival in the western countries , has also had its non-religious side. In fact, Easter is originally a pagan festival.
　It’s said in the Bible that Jesus Christ was kill in the cross. 3 days later, Jesus was to resurrect. That’s why Easter comes from. Prior to A.D.325, Easter was variously celebrated on different days of the week, including Friday, Saturday and Sunday. But in that year, it issued that Easter Rule which states that Easter shall be celebrated on the first Sunday the occurs after the first full moon. However, Easter doesn’t always occur on the same date in different countries. Therefore, Easter must be celebrated on Sunday between the dates of March 22 and April 25.
　Though the dates of Easter seem to different in many countries, the customs of Easter look the same in western world.
The Easter Bunny , which is the one of the customs in Easter is not a modern invention. The Germans brought the symbol of the Easter rabbit to America. It was widely ignored by other Christians until shortly after the Civil War. In fact, Easter itself was not widely celebrated in America until after that time. The Bunny stands for the creativer of the new life and is popular to children and people.
As with the Easter Bunny and the holiday itself, the Easter Egg predates the Christian holiday of Easter. The exchange of eggs in the springtime is a custom that was centuries old when Easter was first celebrated by Christians. From the earliest times, the egg was a symbol of rebirth in most cultures and colored brightly by boiling with the leaves or petals of certain flowers. Today, children hunt colored eggs which made of plastic or chocolate candy in Easter baskets along.
Generally speaking, Easter is the festival which included happiness,smiling and wishing.
